How can technological possibilities be used to support chronically ill individuals in managing their condition?
The concept ne:yo is about providing Parkinson’s patients with a tool to help them integrate more movement into their daily lives and develop a better awareness of their (new) body, enabling them to actively combat the disease.
Through personalized motivation, animation, and education, supported by gamification and a type of companion/assistant/coach, the tool aims to help users overcome their "inner resistance" and discover the benefits of a more mindful lifestyle.
2021 / Master thesis

A complex disease like Parkinson's requires a complex product with extensive functions, yet it must be designed as simply as possible for the user to provide holistic support for those affected.
The goal was to design an artificial personality that naturally and empathetically accompanies patients in their daily lives. Intuitive communication and operation should ensure maximum long-term support for the user.
The product primarily consists of sensors paired with artificial intelligence, designed to enable very natural speech output. This, combined with mechanical movements, supports and enables additional features that make therapy more engaging and interactive.
THE CONCEPT

ONE DAY WITH NE:YO
Through various scenarios, the functionality of ne:yo and its interaction with the user will be made clearer and more tangible.
